Thirteen tab

Hey,

I've been looking for accurate tabs for 'Thirteen' and 'I Dont think I'm ever gonna figure it out'...and I was wondering if anyone could post them?

since I've started listening to elliott smith, i've really learnt to appreciate the subtle intricate fingerpicking patterns. Absolutely amazing!

Tabbed by Kevin Long (kpl317 at yahoo.com)

Standard tuning, capo somewhere around 4th-ish fret. I play it on 3rd fret so I can hit the high bits better on the vocals.
The trickiest part about this song is alternating between picking and strumming. The picking parts use a "bobbing thumb"
pattern where the thumn alternates between 2 strings that play the bass notes. The strumming strikes are done with the
the other fingers.

(solo)

the first part of the solo is basicly the same as the (verse) section starting on the standard C formation but adding the pinky to the
3rd fret on the high E string, except that he alternates his pinky
between the 3rd fret of the High E and the 4th fret of B string. The patter is kindof sporadic so Im not gonna tab it out.

the high riff in the solo is as follows. the first few notes are struck with the nail side of the index finger using your thumb
and index finger pinched together as if you were holding a pick. the strings not being struct are rhythmicly palm muted,
theres no way to tab this out youll have to listen and experiment.

I have th first riff, but I can't figure out anymore and I don't know how to write tabs. I can give you what I have. Its all on the first 4 strings, so -

3 - - - - - - - - -
- - - - 2 - - - - -
- - 0 - - - - 0/2
- 0 - 0 - 0 - - -0

yeah thats the first riff.

just go to sweetadeline.net and then click music, then tabs then go to the bottom... should still be there.
