Yeah so I finally got around to hearing what was done of See You In Heaven.. And I pray to God that some day a rough recorded version of this with lyrics will surface.

I don't know why people hang on to hoping about something that has been confirmed not to have been recorded. It'd be more worthwhile to hold on to the hope that Elliott recorded some of his live songs that have yet to be confirmed as studio recordings, like "Flowers for Charlie" or "My New Freedom."

But yeah, the instrumental "See You in Heaven" is great, and I'm sure the lyrics would have been a wonderful addition too.

in a way i kinda like the fact that lyrics were never recorded for it... i mean, don't get me wrong, a finished version would have been unbelieveably good... but it kinda adds a litte mystery too it... like elliott had a message but it was never recorded... he had to leave for heaven before it was finished and we are going to have to wait till we see him there to hear it or something... if you believe in that sorta thing.

just a thought.

my friend came up with an intresting theory just now. Maybe it was finished and if he Indeed did kill himself... Maybe that was his message to his fans, "See you in heaven.."

I might be wrong but surely it leaves open the possibility of a really rough demo somewhere. I thought it had been confirmed he never recorded the vocals for this version, but many artists record rough acoustic demos, little memoirs to themselves, anything that might have some clue as to the way it was? Perhaps I'm mistaken

I agree with you Mulllitt. It really stands alone as an instrumental. So well structured... it doesn't need lyrics to seem cohesive. But yeah, lyrics would've been a cool addition.

I don't know. I think it's a little too long and has too many little details for lyrics to be there. Seems like they'd cover things up.

try singing it from 34 seconds really slow. it doesnt match perfectly. it might of been expanded in some way. try at 1:26 too

Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss. Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?
