The Biggest Lie's musical bridge

One ov my favorite moments in Elliott's songs is the lovely little musical bridge (I hope that is the right term and y'all understand what I refer to) in The Biggest Lie. He never seems to play it in live versions, just strums. So two questions, did he ever play it live? If not, is it because it is very hard to play (I am not a guitar player)?

even with 102 tremendous songs having been released on records, his unreleased stuff would still make one of the best 2-disc albums of all time. even the limited stuff we know about. something like this:

Many of Elliott's songs use the motif of 'falling' either in the title or in the lyrics. As I began to think about it, I was surprised at exactly how prevalent it is. I wonder if they could all be listed and analyzed.
