I've seen him thricet.
(1) In April 2000, with the Pumpkins. He was actually quite animated and fun to watch, as far as performance goes. Played with gusto, fell to his knees during a particularly RAWK moment (actually shocked my best friend, even tho she is a hardcore SP fan. she always thought he was quite reserved live), used a raygun, laughed about an inflatable penis with Billy that was floating over the crowd, dodged quarters with amazing dexterity, sang Blew Away, threw me a pick , made eye contact with fans and smiled/waved/hand gestured more than once. (Weird.)
(2) A Perfect Circle's quicky club tour to promote Thirteenth Step, in Norfolk VA. That show was pretty badass but he was pretty boring and hid in the shadows most of the night. Couldn't even see him playing very well, which was disappointing - if I wanted ta listen to you on CD pal, I could've!
(3) A Perfect Circle in Charlotte, NC in a much bigger venue. Even more boring this time! The show was boring too. Le sigh.
I would've liked to have seen him at his solo shows in '98, or at the 2/19/00 show that he and Billy played in NC. Sigh!
