I've seen him thricet.

(1) In April 2000, with the Pumpkins. He was actually quite animated and fun to watch, as far as performance goes. Played with gusto, fell to his knees during a particularly RAWK moment (actually shocked my best friend, even tho she is a hardcore SP fan. she always thought he was quite reserved live), used a raygun, laughed about an inflatable penis with Billy that was floating over the crowd, dodged quarters with amazing dexterity, sang Blew Away, threw me a pick , made eye contact with fans and smiled/waved/hand gestured more than once. (Weird.)

(2) A Perfect Circle's quicky club tour to promote Thirteenth Step, in Norfolk VA. That show was pretty badass but he was pretty boring and hid in the shadows most of the night. Couldn't even see him playing very well, which was disappointing - if I wanted ta listen to you on CD pal, I could've!

(3) A Perfect Circle in Charlotte, NC in a much bigger venue. Even more boring this time! The show was boring too. Le sigh.

I would've liked to have seen him at his solo shows in '98, or at the 2/19/00 show that he and Billy played in NC. Sigh!

i saw him perform with APC in november of 2003. before the show their manager gave us wristbands to sit in the orchestra pit (likewaybetterthanfrontrowomg). that was awesoooooooooome. we were sitting with the local alternative radio station dj's who were probably thinking "wtf r thay doeing herrr we r vIp" but they suck at life so whatevz. after the show we waited by their tour buses and i got his autograph cos i'm a nerd like that. i was like [ ] this close to him. heh.

I've seen him a lot of times w/ The Pumpkins and APC and am sad to say at the APC shows was not a fan of him hiding in the back. :hide: During one APC show he did wave to me and make eye contact (I was very surprised) after many attempts by me drawing embarassing attention to myself by yelling how much I loved him.

LOL that was probably it. "If I wave will you shut up?" he was thinking. and I would shot a close relative to see his solo show at the Mercury Lounge in '98.

I've seen him twice with the Pumpkins. Once in 1997, when they were all very quiet and once in 2000.

In 2000, after Disarm and Tonight, Tonight, James started yelling "OMG U GUYZ PLAYED DISARM AND TONIGHT TONIGHT BACK TO BACK I LUV THAT!!! :org:"
I guess nobody understood what he was screaming, but everyone cheered anyway. After that James just said something like "I'm sorry. I will continue playing." Heh heh... :)
James also introduced the band a bit later. And I think he used the gun thing during Glass.
