OH MY GOD.
based on one of my favourite books of ALL TIME.
i just saw it tonight and it was great, though it deviated from the book in quite a few ways.
the main guy who played grenouille is far too sexy for his own good.
any other fans of the novel/people who've seen the movie?

Wow, I totally wasn't aware a film had been made. I've not read it myseld, but my mom's an addict. She just doesn't cease to ramble about how well-written it is. So thanks for the info and I'll be sure to rent it for us!

I haven't read the book but I like the director. Run Lola Run was nifty.

I read it because a Nirvana song, "Scentless Apprentice" or whatever it's called, was based on it. It was good.

Meh. Grenouille is not sexy. He was awkward and far too bony.

Bad book, looks like a bad film. Apart from the pretty lady.

i thought it was absolutely brilliant. perfume is one of my favourite books and i'm also a fan of andrew birkin, so all in all it made me very happy.
though i'm not sure me and my friends were meant to be doubled over in childish mirth at the orgy scene. oops.
