This Nick Saban thing is giving me fits. I'm still pissed that he left LSU and I'd be even more pissed if he came back two years later only to go to Alabama. Sure, the Dolphins had a bad year but it's a top-notch organization and he's got $18 mill to spend in free agencey. Plus, the SEC West already has enough competition. He has a press conference tomorrow. Hopefully he'll be talking about his plans for the Fins for next season.

No More Saban in the NFL. Prob. for the best since he can't even throw the challenge flag out on the field correctly. I bet he just wanted to get out of there before they had to go another season with no real QB.

He strikes me a sleezy and always has. Just something about his demeanor. But I bet Alabama will get good recruits and do really well now just because of all the publicity this has caused.

I guess he always was a sleezeball but when he was at LSU he won a NC so he was our sleezeball. Now he's Alabubba's sleezeball and I don't like him. They'll probably be good in about 3-4 years. He'll have a hard time convincing recruits he'll stay there for their full four years, though.

He really hurt his recruiting chances by being a damned sleez, but his only job at Alabama is to beat Auburn. The tide won't care about a loss to LSU as much as Auburn taking them down at home. If he can't beat Auburn it'll be a long road until he gets his quality recruits in, if he even lasts that long

Nick Saban is smoke and mirrors. He was successful at LSU because Louisiana is an EXTREMELY talent-rich state. LSU has no in-state rival to speak of so the flagship university just has to convince the kids to stay home and that's what he did. His record isn't overly impressive. We got the NC in '03 because everything worked in our favor. The next year, he went 9-4. He'll struggle to lock down Alabama with LSU, FLA, UGA, FSU, MIA, and oh yeah, AUBURn to compete with for talent. Sorry, Bammer fans but you'll never get your money's worth. He'll have success but won't win a NC at Bama.
