Hi..

I am new. Nice to meet you all. I am here because last night I had a rad dream about James Iha. It has been a while since I had thought about him, maybe years even. But apparently he is in my subconcious.

In my dream he was in a bunch of people from my high school along with others (including Sean Lennon!) dressed as soldiers from the Napoleonic wars. I reccognised him and tried to follow the group and catch up with them through a falling down city. I finally reached them as they engaged in a battle down by the beach. I watched them shoot the enemy. And then I ran down to make sure he was ok. He was so dreamy! I told him I had his CD and that he should call me sometime, but I couldn't write my phone number. It just wouldn't go on paper right. I was sad and after they left I went home, thinking that I had missed my chance. Then, I got a phone call and it was him. Goodness.

So that was my odd dream. Have any of you had recent dreams worth reccolecting?

I figured it was a sign to revive my fandom. I am weird like that.

I did have a dream about James recently, which is pretty weird because I almost never dream about him . . . it involved me in a nurse's costume, him in a wheelchair. He grew antennae at one point. Analyze THAT.

i havent had a dream about james. :(
but if i did i think it would consist of him singing and playing the guitar to me in a moving icecream truck. we would both be wearing dresses, and his would have flower prints on it. billy would sneak up out of nowhere and push us both out. he steals the truck and drives away eating the icecreams. when we fall onto the ground, we dont get any scratches or broken bones. we are in the middle of the desert and the guitar disappears. we are so bored we start looking around and see couples and in some cases even threesomes making out. we both feel very nerdy and left out for not following so we start.
darcy and jimmy come out of nowhere and bitchslaps me for stealing her james, then james bitchslaps jimmy for stealing darcy. jimmy starts crying because nobody is ever mean to him. hes not used to being hated.
THEN once again out of nowhere billy pops up with the icecream truck. he is going WAY over the speed limit and as he comes closer we can see hes laughing evil-ly, like a madman and runs darcy and jimmy over. the guitar falls from the sky, james picks it up and hits billy over the head with it, billy dies. we then get our truck back and james starts singing to me again.

Nurse's costume huh.....can't help but think of that Blink 182 album cover....was it their debut? Can't remember. You know what I'm talking about.As for the antennae.....he is THE asian spacecat.


Funny you dreamt of Sean and James together. Sean's debut came out the same year as James' LICD.Sean's album title 'Into the Sun'. James has a song 'Into the Sun.'

I've had two with Billy. In one, I was in a drunken boat drifting through a psycadelic landscape while Mellon Collie was playing in the air; when I awoke I was crying. The second dream Billy and the band were hanging out in my music department. Both dreams were very spritual for me.

I just remembered...last night I had a pretty long, involved dream about Will and I meeting James. He lived in this ganky town and was married to this uber-skinny woman who reminded me of cigarette ash. She was very pale and her hair was this boring ugh blonde and she basically just looked like...Tilda Swinton but much plainer. They had a daughter also, who looked like she was about 3. Will & I were walking through the streets of the town trying to find James's house, cos we were supposed to interview him about something (dunno what, never found out). James came walkin' along with his daughter on his shoulders and his wife trailing behind. He wasn't blonde. I remember feeling uncomfortable because I knew he didn't want to do the interview, and because I think he's kind of a twerp. I fake smiled when I saw him and for some reason he held his daughter out at arm's length for my perusal. She was actually really cute (the only fun thing in the dream), but she didn't look like James at all...looked like a white baby with big, brown eyes. They were *slightly* Asian but hardly...I lied and said "Ohh she looks so much so like you!" hahaha wtf. That's about all I remember, except that we eventually did go back to James's place and he showed us this old crappy car he had. His house was all run-down hippyesque, too.

Sounds like you don't like the man so much? But perhaps the cute baby was symbolic of all the beautiful, small things that Iha has brought to your world, and of Iha's innocence, despite his differences. Whatever you may hold against him (and you have a right to it), he's a talented musician and was an essential part of the Pumpkins, wouldn't you say? :xo:

Please excuse my endless gravity! Really I'm not so serious; just trying to stir conversation on this dreadfully dull board ;) ! But I do take dreams seriously. I think many times they reveal a lot about who we are, how we feel. I don't believe in any of the Freud nonsense about Oedipus and all that; but yeah, I think the unconscious speaks out for what we hide from ourselves, and that dreams are highly charged with symbolism. Truly, your dream does sound very interesting. :sheep:

Last night I dreamt that the newly reformed SP played their first show in Europe or thereabouts...and the big news was that although D'arcy was not back, James was. There were grainy newspaper photos of him on the net, and he was wearing the same outfit that Billy did in '98 when they opened for Jane's Addiction (uh, where my brain got that I'll never know). Anyways, was quite exciting and I remember feeling the overwhelming need to contact ticketmaster to ensure that I could see them live ;o ;o
