Anyone?
I have high blood pressure and had to come off the pill  and I'm finding that all other methods totally ruin spontaneity to the point where I don't even want to bother by the time I've gotten the sponge up there (and said a lil prayer against its 26% failure rate).
My doc said she wished more women got IUDs because they've come a long way since the ones our mothers used that caused all the problems. But I'm still scared. :scared:
Tell your IUD tales here, please: edumacate me! Kthxbye.
we are on the natural/withdrawal method. :-o

Yeah I'm getting married in 2 months so I'm sure I'll be in the same way of thinking soon enough
ok... i considered getting an IUD but first of all... i have no one to seckz it up with. second of all, my libido is pretty much dead. i was gonna get the mirena iud but my obgyn was all like "well you need to be in a monogamous relationship because promiscuity increases the risk of contracting gonorrhea" and i was like D: the other iud available in the states is the copper one. i think i read somewhere that it's more effective than mirena.
oh yeah, you also get breakthrough bleeding for up to 6 months with both iud's. D: D: D: and you increase the risk of perforating your uterus, which isn't too good should you want to procreate.
having something placed inside there is not something im willing to do. but im really bad at taking the pill the exact same time every day so i wonder about the patch.

I'd maybe consider it, but my mom had one at it gave her PI and she almost couldn't have children because of it so it scares me. It'd be so nice to not have to worry about it for like 5 years though.

I've never understood why broads would want to put roadside bombs in their vaginas.

Er, no, you need to use CONDOMS even if you have an IUD unless you've both been tested. Is your gynaecologist an idiot?

that's an IED you silly goose!
and er yeah this gyno sounds like a genius... the only obstacle i know of in getting one is that some docs won't put it in a woman who's never had kids, which i think is ridiculous. who are they to decide that you'll want to have kids?
then why would you consider getting an IUD?
just sayin...
cuzihadakidomg and the gyno was axin me what form of bc i wanted; i said iud but decided not to use bc in the end cos a) no libido, b) no one to secks with...
yeah, tmi
wellll, don't they last for years and years?
