my roomates and I were talking last night....

theres a space in our kitchen that just really looks like it needs a wall hanging, so I bought a picture frame with 5 spaces in it for pictures. I said we could all work together and get some pictures that pertain to the kitchen or whatnot (fruits and vegtables or something). Then I thought, we could have some fruits and vegtables in some of the spaces, and then have a picture of a kitchen in the other. And then I realized that Sheila's last name is Kitchen, so it'd be fun and slightly humorus on a low level to put her in there too. I dont quite recall how the naked part got thrown in there. maybe because just having her in a picture wasn't artistic enough. art requires nudity. so we thought we could take a picture of her naked on our kitchen counter holding up fruits to hide her breats and have some more between her legs to hide that as well.
I actually have no problem with this as long as it's not sexual in any way. And she's suprisingly ok with posing nude. I don't know exactly when (or even if) we're gonna do this. right now we're still working out what it's gonna look like. We're thinking we can blow up her picture and cut it into 5 pictures and put them all in the frame so that it's five pictures that make a whole. (that was Angela's idea and I like it).

is this really odd to have nude pictures of your roomates hanging in your appartment?
and
how do you feel about pictures of naked women? (I'm assuming that girls will answer this, not guys)

personally, I love the human body and I think the woman's body is beautiful so as long as it's not erotic (or demeaning), I'm perfectly fine with nude ladies.

I feel the same, I like a woman's body and nude women are among my fav. subjects to draw. It can be erotic too, I like the pictures in Playboy etc., it's the gaping-hole porn that digusts me. If it's just breasts and nudity it doesn't really seem as gross.
As for having a naked pic of your roommate hanging in the apartment, I don't know... I'd be more worried about what the roommate in the picture would think of that being on the wall for everyone to see. I mean, I've taken nude pics before and even posted them on blamo once or twice :D ...but I wouldn't really like for my naked pics to be plastered on my walls at home ;)

It is a cute idea though

she doesn't seem to mind. we all think she's beautiful and if someone comes over that she doesn't want to see her, we can always take it down. It'll definately come down if my parents ever drop by for a visit.

Same as Barbara, except there are no nude photos of me that were taken after 1979.

I just know if i went to some peeps' apartment and there was a naked picture of the girl holding fruits, i'd be like "uhhh" b/c it screams "attention whore" to me.

God damn it, I saw this thread title under the "Chick's Board" title and this completely blew my hopes. Oh well.

Now that it's out of the way, having a nude picture of someone in your kitchen isn't so weird, and taking nude (semi-nude) pictures are both fine endevors. It's the mixing of the two that throws me off. I personally wouldn't really think anything bad of it, but I'm weird. Basically, in the words of the Immortal Ria, "I HAVE NO OPINION ON THIS MATTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Please Blamo ladies...? Willing to trade naked pictures of my big toe! Don't pass up this offer!

I like artistic nudes but I hate all that Girls Gone Wild type crap. If you've been here long enough you may have seen some of mine but that was about four years ago. I've been here too long, must plot futile escape effort.

I think the nude kitchen photos sound neat.

I love arty nude photos, but I don't think I'd personally be comfortable having a naked picture of me hanging on my wall, but if she feels comfortable with it I see no problem with it. There's a picture of my mom when she was a model hanging in our living room and her dress is so sheer you can almost see her nipples. :O

I wouldn't want to eat at your apartment after I saw the pic of her on the kitchen counter nude. Ick.

well see, that's why I'm not inviting you over to eat.

besides, I think raw meat on the counter is more unsanitary than my roomate's butt. and considering how obsessed my other roomate is with wiping everything down with sanitation wipes, it doesn't bother me at all.

Bram is right. I would post an artsy nude photo for all to use in their kitchens but harcore porn photos are not artsy. Sorry.

nude bods are beautiful, but maybe not in the kitchen.. but if the tits and vag are covered with fruit its kinda funny so go for it.

Nude bodies can be erotic without being degrading...what's so bad about being erotic?

What's so bad about feeling degraded?
j/k.

Unless the people are being forced against their will, I have no problem with any type of eroticism, no matter how vulgar. Except using animals, or kids or others who have no voice. If its too much, I don't look at it. The women are not all coerced, poor things being tortured, on drugs or needing money.

Well you're talking about things that are degrading but considered erotic by some...I did mean an eroticism that isn't vulgar or degrading...whatever that is, I guess its personal choice. I guess I just meant that if someone wants to photograph themselves as erotic (in an absence of coercion), why is that so shameful?
