So, the GBA port for Final Fantasy VI is being released in Japan at the end of November (the English version will probably be out by the beginning of next year). With this release, all the NES/SNES Final Fantasy games (I-VI) will once again be playable on a Nintendo system.

I'm totally psyched about this. I've only played the Playstation port on Final Fantasy Anthology just a little bit, but I have nothing but good memories of it. So discuss the port, or just Final Fantasy VI in general.

I just finished playing through FFVII again. It wasn't as great as I remembered it.

wow they still make GBA games? i thought it got ditched for the DS...

You can play GBA games on the DS.

6 and 7 were the only FFs worth finishing.

I think they've stopped development on new GBA games, but they still bring out some ports now and then. The SNES Final Fantasy games don't really need the processing power of the DS, so they're all being ported to the GBA instead.

yeah, ff VI (or III, as it was on snes) were easily the best. i'm actually going to bid on ff anthology on ebay sometime, even though ffV wasn't that good.

I reccomend that you wait for the GBA rerelease instead. The load times on on the Playstation ports are just awful.

I'm sure no one really gives a damn, but I got the game today and it is fun as hell. Long live SNES games forever. And the music! If you're into RPGs you should definitely check this port out.

Now all they need to do is port Chrono Trigger to the GBA and I'll be complete :D
