i absolutely cannot leave the house without mascara on. when i do i seriously feel like i look like a man. i used to wear a thick line of eyeliner on my top lid from liquid liner and it looked cute i think, but i kinda grew out of it. i rarely ever wear foundation/concealer anymore because my skin isn't that bad and it ends up looking really obvious when i do because i'm bad at makeup.

I recently got a couple of tubes of Sephora Eye Dews. They're only $2 online! It's basically liquid eyeshadow and all I need for both eyes is a drop.

I have Stone and Dawn.

I like pink and purple eye shadow. Sometimes I wear other colors too, but I don't look good. Most of the time I don't wear any makeup.
i seldom wear makeup these days... plus it's humid here practically all year long so it'd just melt right off. :|
umm i have a lot of makeup though, lots of high end stuff packed into a big black train case

I also hardly ever wear makeup except for foundation and powder because I hate my skin. I'll wear makeup if I go somewhere interesting, but that's it.

lol fucking same. I can't even go to the gas station on the corner without mascara.
I just do mascara (top and bottom) and a good amount of blush. I love blush and im pale as fark so it's the only color i'm gonna get ;( Then i wear tinted chapstick or some lipgloss. I stopped wearing eyeshadow everyday a long time ago b/c it started getting all creasy and falling off : ( the problem for me could be fixed by putting on some concealer on my eyelids before putting on eyeshadow, but i don't own any concealer so wutever! I saw some Chanel eyeshadow in a magazine today tho that made me just want to die. It was magenta with loads of silver and gold flecks an' shit, i dont know how to explain it but it looked like tweed.
Oh Cat, i also used to do the liquid eyeliner shit but then i started getting so annoyed by how hard it was to do, but it was fun while it lasted : (

Chanel makeup is generally fabulous, the mascara and the nail varnish in particular. I don't wear much makeup usually, just powder (No 7, Maybelline or MAC) and mascara (presently BeneFit, rather good) with some Carmex or Lush lipbalm, and maybe some eyeliner (Dior or Urban Decay) and Stila lipgloss if I can be arsed, but when I go out I like to wear lots of eye makeup, mostly Urban Decay, their glitter eyeliner is one of the best things ever. I don't really do foundation, but Make Up Forever is good, and I'll use any blusher providing I like the colour.

i wear under eye concealer and blush every day, and that's it. i'm awful at makeup and i hate it but i hate my dark undereyes more!

I pretty much only wear makeup if I'm going out. On a rare occasion I'll go to class with it on, but even then it's just eye stuff and some lip gloss.

Every day I use a small amount of foundation, eye shadow, and lately, tinted lip balm topped off with gloss occasionally.

kindred spirits.
I'm in a makeup rut, I have so much but I keep wearing the same fucking pallette because I have no time to look through my drawer and try something different! It's Snake Charmer by LORAC.

yay, makeup. i have different levels of make up... if i'm just going to class, or something equally mundane, i might just put on foundation (including on my eyelids), powder, concealer if i need it, and mascara. if i have more time/interest, i'll use smashbox photo finish primer, foundation, concelealer if needed, powder (all skin make up by mac), stila pretty pink all over glow/highlighter, elizabeth arden eyeliner (i don't use anyting else from that line, i jsut fell in love with that eyeliner), usually lancome shadows, and dior show mascara. i'm not big with messing with my lips, i don't think strong colour ever looks right on mine- i just stick with glosses. my biggest obsession has got to be mascara.
bailey, i know exactly the chanel eye colour you mean, and i NEED it.

It is pretty fantastic, I was looking at it the other day. Not quite the same, but a marvellous colour nonetheless, and cheaper, and nice packaging, Urban Decay eyeshadow in Fishnet. Check it out ladies.

I almost never wear makeup because I was never shown how to apply it properly. Then I got bare minerals and it's hecka easy for foundation-type stuff. Though my skin is woefully dry. I still can't make the smoky-eye thing happen though, and really want it. :(

My mom was a model and did her own makeup so I learned from her, plus various experimenting. It's fun, but I'm far too lazy to hardly ever bother.
my mom was an avon lady forever so i always had a shit ton of makeup but rarely ever bother with it. concealer for the dark eye area is necessary though since ive been an insomniac half my life, and mascara makes every girl look a ton prettier. but i always think eye makeup in the day looks too clubish and ridiculous so i never bother with eyeshadow and all that, and i dont have a steady enough hand for liquid eyeliner which i think looks cool if youre going somewhere that calls for nice makeup and shit, so that sucks.
but i cant live without lipgloss though (always clear but slightly tinted pink is ok sometimes i guess). the cheap liquid lip smackers gloss is better than all the crazy expesive brands ive tried that are thick and sticky and gooey... and they come in the best flavors like cotton candy, sugar crystals, strawberry kiwi, watermelon and bubblegum!

omg! me and kate's friend gemma got bare minerals and she put it on us and i looked like a brand new person!
I reserached it online though and read reviews and they were very mixed, which was disappointing and surprising to me. Wowow
umm oh yeah, my eyelashes stopped holding their curl for some reason, which is annoying b/c they just stick out like brownish-black spikes now, or even worse, Snuffalufagus (sp)

See, I think that sticky-out-like-Snuffy look is cute and makes your eyes look pretty and veiled. Then my facial lady told me I have the kind of curl in my eyelashes that people pay her to PERM into theirs. D:
I'm soooooooooo not tooting my own horn here; I mean, number one, my left eyelashes curl up more than the right (save $$ on lash curlers girls, just sleep on your face :\) so that looks pretty dumb, and when I put mascara on it just gets all over my top eyelid and doesn't lengthen at ALL. There is such a thing as too much curl.
But um bare minerals, coming from someone who doesn't wear much makeup usually, gets my vote for easy and failsafeness.

I hear bare minerals are great...my friend uses it and she raves about it. Mayhaps I should ask for it for Christmas?
I dunno, I use Bobbi Brown which is good stuff, but it's expensive and I think they test on animals :\

PETA have a list somewhere on their site of cosmetic brands that don't, which these days is most of them (certainly the "luxury" ones are generally okay).

I really want the Bear Minerals foundation once I'm rich, since foundation and powder is the only thing I wear with any sort of regularity. Though maybe by the time I'm rich I'll have lovely even-toned skin. A girl can dream. :(

Plus you have to weigh the cost of it against 1. how much you'll like and use it and 2. how much you'd be spending on other products you don't like as well.
I've found that mine is lasting FOREVA, so it's a great value overall.
Oh yeah and buy it in a starter kit like from the informercial because you save $$.
i use bare minerals - it's A+ but the jar thingy dispenser is getting on my tits...that came out wrong but it's factually true....a lot of powder does end up on my tits  I DONT WANT TO CONCEAL MY TITS DAMN U SEPHORA

gawd, so much cheaper for you US dwellers! I had a sample size of the Mineral Veil stuff, it was pretty good, but I refuse to buy foundation off the internet unless I've tried it in real life - I don't want an orange face :(
Effie why not make the most of your beautifully made-up bezazzles and go topless!
