I've always been curious, how badly DO boobies get in the way when women try to play sport or run around?

I would say it's proportional to the size of the boob.
I would also say that the more you run unsupported, the quicker you're going to sag-ville. Which reminds me of a primary school joke:
What do you call the flaps of skin around a granny's minge?
Her tits.

Oh, geeze, we've already discussed how boobs get in the way when jogging! Keep up with conversations!

well, my boobs practically consistently slap me in the face when i run, so they get in the way.
Actually, i have a great sports bra so it isn't all that bad anymore, but all that pressure on my back from holding them in so tightly can give my back cramps when i'm being really active. If you don't have a good sports bra, it is absolutely crap to do anything active. However, i have big big boobs so my life is a little bit of an exception.

I haven't found a sports bra that will fit. :darn: So I generally avoid high-impact activity, lest I want to walk around with a fat lip.
Also I tend to be quite top heavy, which makes me feel as if I'm about to tip over.
Also, I can't golf. At all.

I've never played proper golf, but I've never felt the need for a sports bra when playing crazy golf, and I'm somewhat chesty. Is it a problem when you do all the flinging the club round your head and whatnot?

It depends. When my boobs were nonexistant I could go running without a bra and it didn't bother me. Yep, I was that small. Now, if I ran with them they'd bounce around and annoy me, but it's not like they'd unbalance me. But when I dance etc I usually just wear a normal bra and i'm fine.

yeah, like everyone else said it totally depends on the boob size. i have small Bs and i can run with a normal bra on if i feel like it. in reality i probably don't even need a bra.. but i don't want to get skin flap boobs so i wear one. but if i'm wearing a sports bra it seriously looks like i don't have boobs at all so i try to avoid them. :)

I went months without wearing one, but this summer when they exploded I went out and bought one. Now I can still wear my Bs (and very just barely my As) but they give me crazy cleavage. I need to go bra shopping but I can't be bothered. And sports bras push me down too, so I look loads smaller. So I'm always paranoid that when I wear one people are going to be all "wtf, where'd her boobs go, she must wear padded bras." I don't, they're just hardcup :(

i wear padded bras most of the time.. who's gonna know except my close girl friends and my boyfriend? and they certainly don't care. as long as i look a little more evened out, i don't care what kinda bra it is!

I tried on my old 34A padded bra from 8th grade the other day, and it was hilarious. Little flat 13 year old me would have been so happy.

they exist, i promise ;( you just have to go to a nice store that sells big sizes and be willing to pay more than the small boob babes ;(

Yeah I pay a fortune for the regular ones. And the elastic wears out so fast, too.
Soon as I squeeze out a couple o' rugrats (or hit 35 and decide pets really ARE better) I'm going under the knife. Non-full-figured rack here I come! :D

if i'm running and i don't have a bra on (this only happens inside my house or something), i have to hold them or it's quite uncomfortable. and it's hard to jog, too, because i've never been able to find a sports bra that actually holds me up. i just have to wear a regular bra when i excercise, which sucks.
