Shelf Conscious

ALL YOU NEED IS ONE It makes perfect sense that the One T-shirt shares it's name with a U2 song - after all, it's made by Edun, the socially conscious clothing brand created in part by Bono. Proceeds from the sales of the new T-Shirt will help bring relief to the factory workers in Lesotho, Africa, where the tees are produced. Plus, for every shirt sold, Edun will donate $10 to the Apparel Lesotho Alliance to Fight AIDS fund, which provides education and medicine to the workers and their families. And as if wearing the shirt isn't enough of an advertisement that you're a charitable person, a display window at Nordstrom (where the tees are sold) will feature the names of customers who purchase the shirt. It looks like one won't be the loneliest number, after all. $40 at Nordstrom, 55 E Grand Ave at Rush St (312-464-1515), beginning Mon 11. - KA

James has always looked the same age.
I'm not sure about him being Bono's clothes whore.
Bono is to me the musical equivalent of Mel Gibson.

I dunno Elliot (if I spelled your name wrong I'm sorry)

it's hard to compare movies to music but since you just did it...
even "how to dismantle an atomic bomb" was nowhere near as sucky as "What Women Want" :D

'Sfunny since the Crog and Bono are supposedly CLOSE FRIENDS n all. They're all just in a big circle jerk anyway, they probably get together and laugh about the burned bridges.

This is where James was t'other day...

From nme.com...

Damien Rice performed for an audience of around 200 people in New York at the weekend (September 15) - and was introduced by Bono.

The star played a surprise show at the Hudson Hotel, watched by a supermodel-heavy crowd.

Introducing Rice, U2 frontman Bono said: "What you're about to hear and see is like being at a Bob Dylan gig in the early Sixties or a Cat Stevens gig in the early Seventies or James Taylor, or something extraordinary.

"Damien Rice is able to still and distil the storms into quiet reflection. He's really a remarkable talent, I can't quite believe that he's here. I'm very humbled and very honoured and I would ask New York to give him the kind of welcome only New York, only Manhattan can, and then give him the silence he deserves because this is something very special."

The fellow Irishmen were in New York to promote the ONE campaign to make poverty history, and the Edun clothing line owned by Bono, his wife Ali Hewson and designer Rogan Gregory.

Rice repeatedly demanded silence, and played just two songs for the crowd which included supermodels Helena Christensen and Christy Turlington, Ed Burns, James Iha and Heather Graham.

Thanks Peter....who's on the cover?

If James was at the Rice show recently....it probably means he's...oh not in LA working on some album??

I don't have a subscription to wireimage and I don't know how to do links on that site but if you have 2 seconds to spare....type James Iha and new images of him will show up.He's sitting next to Jessica Joffe.

Now I know why he wore a hood for the One t-shirt ad campaign.
