Does anyone care anymore about Hockey... ? Especially since the lockout happend... Now with this salary cap, your favorite player will always be switching teams... thats what it seems like... It is horrible....Players signing 1 year contracts all over the place..... A great sport is getting lost in all this mess!!

I still care! I think the new rules have improved the game, and the new salary cap has levelled the playing field. I mean, before the new CBA could anyone have predicted that the Oilers, Sabres, 'Canes and Ducks have been fighting out for the conference finals? I take your point about the 1 year contracts - being a Wings fan it's frustrated me to see Shanahan go, Yzerman retire, Legace sent to the Blues (well, I'm not too gutted about Legace) and us picking up just Danny Markov and Dominic '10 games a season' Hasek to replace them. Right now I'd predict a tough battle for us to make the playoffs. That ain't right - I'd got used to us being at the top every season

Still, at least teams like the Devils aren't topping their division with a succession of 2-1 wins anymore

ya it was a sad week in detroit sports.. Yzerman leaves and Ben Wallace leaves the pistons at the same time... then some days later Shanahan is gone... And they dont resign Legace...Which is a crappy move in my part... Its only a matter of time before Hasek gets injured again ...it will be a miracle of he stays healthy all year...Man St. Louis went from horrid last year to probably being in contention to win the division... I'd say maybe more so than the wings.. and you are right... Its not right .. haha I never seen the wings struggle to make the playoffs.. I started watching hockey in 1994.... so ya.... this year will be interesting.....we still have Datsyuk and Zetterberg.. :)

I'm an LA Kings Season ticket holder. Have been for 3 years. The game is so much fun in person. 10X more so than on the tele.

We've had some rough times the past few years, what with all the injuries and well, crap everything. But now the times are a-changing. We've got a proven new GM in Dean Lombardi, a new coach in Marc Crawford, and the same old pest in Sean Avery (whom I love, btw, so suck it). Ya, we traded our best player on draft day for a pick and a prospect, and we're probably gonna get last in the Pacific, but at least the future looks bright. Kinda.
