Anyone want to do a blamo league? This is for NFL-type football.
1. Go here: http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/register/tos?done=joinleague
2. Click "Agree"
3. Click "Join Custom"
4. League ID is "248003"
5. Password is "blamo"
Then make your team name, etc. Easy as pie. It's set up for 6 teams, so if we don't get that many than the league will... die... :(
But if we get more than 6 takers, I can make it bigger.

I am in! These leagues make watching games so much funner.

I'll probably do it.

Cool, we've got 4 now. Just need 2 more to be a reasonable league. And then I can expand from there if we get more. Yeah, it definitely does making random games more fun to watch. Are you a Giants fan, Chuck?

Yes sir I am, and I think they're gonna do really well this year. That division is gonna be tough to get out of. But I think Eli is gonna have a great year, and they're gonna win the division and go deep into the playoffs.

That definitely is a tough division. I think Eli will look great. For about 6 games.
The rest of you really disappoint me. 4 people? 4? I even did the soccer fantasy thing...

Apparently american football isn't too popular around here. We do have some time before draft day, so getting it going is still possible.

Yeah, we've got 8 now, so that's cool. I think it's a shame American football doesn't catch on internationally. It's by far my favorite sport.

Just to remind everyone, draft day is Sunday, Aug 27.

Alright drunkmaster! What's your name again? It's on the tip of my tongue.
2 days till draft time!!! Mark your calendars! Or set your teams in advance. The live draft (again, you do NOT have to be present, but it's more fun for you if you are) is on SUNDAY at 3:00 PM Eastern Time, Noon Pacific.
10 people!!! Anyone else!? I raised the max to 12.

Damn it, I thought of it right when I just saw the thread. I was going back in to edit it. How's it going, Shaun? (I'm Alex)
Ready for college football to start? I should go resurrect that thread. So that the 2 of us on blamo who are into college football can keep in touch.

You got pick #2, Shaun. Looks like you'll get LJ cause I'm taking Alexander.

I forgot about it but I must say I'm not too unhappy with my draft!
DrHibbert
08-27-2006, 04:43 PM
Yeah I thought it turned out just fine for you. You got LJ, that should be nice.
Drunkenmaster
08-27-2006, 04:45 PM
I also dropped Ron Dayne and picked up Jarius Norwood who looks awesome.

Thing about LJ is that KC's O-line is probably not going to be very good this year.
DrHibbert
08-27-2006, 04:49 PM
I still think he'll be solid. I have him in another league. He's a hell of a running back.
A lot of people made the draft, I was surprised. About 7 out of the 10 were there. Lots of trash talking. That was fun.

I'm most excited about getting Miami's defense as I believe they will be very tough this year. It's all according to the Saban five year plan. His Year 2 should be good.

Great, so Rothliesberger is going to miss the season opener because he had emergency appendix removal surgery. You'd think the guy (and myself) could catch a break.
DrHibbert

I like my team a lot. But my running back situation isn't looking good. Greg Jones is out for the season, Domanick Davis is out for the season, and Tatum Bell is splitting time with 2 other guys. Shaun Alexander better stay healthy or I'm in big trouble.

BTW I added 2 bench slots, as people were complaining about the lack of depth. So you can add more players if you want.

I got trounced. Not having Rothliesberger play and poor performances are to blame.

Thanks man! I really lucked out there at the end. If Jacksonville hadn't taken a knee at the 1 yard line you would have won.
That's how it usually works though. I was 3rd or 4th in points in a league last year and won. That makes it fun, though because the underdog always has a chance. As opposed to a stats-only league.

Top 4 make the playoffs, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd are set. There is a real log jam at 3rd place - after tonight there will be 4 or 5 teams all tied at 8-6. Unfortunately, only 2 get into the playoffs with Wolf Raiders and Giants. This is where the tiebreaker (overall points) comes in. Beefhearts is in at 3rd seed.
So it's down to me or Ragin Cajuns at the 4th spot, to get to play Wolf Raiders. I still have the Bears kicker, Robbie Gould, for tonight's game, and Ragin Cajuns has the Chicago defense. I need to end up at least 4 points ahead of RC tonight to get in, otherwise he (Shaun) does. Personally, I'd rather have the Bears' defense than their kicker. Hopefully Robbie can kick a few field goals tonight and get me into the playoffs. Otherwise, best of luck to you all.

I don't think Delhomme's playing this weekend. I think Weinke's starting again.
