Kendra's dad's cousin has 1 spare ticket for the Giants@Nationals game this Wednesday night. $34 for apparently a good seat.

Problem is I have to spend 5/6 hours with a very very talkative and aging in-law and two of his friends, and be polite.

I've never been to a baseball game but I enjoy cricket.

Should I go? I'm tempted to say yes.

Unfortunately, it's a Nationals game, and they have a hideous stadium. But still, go for it.

Also, baseball games are only 2-3 hours. Unless you were including some kind of exciting pre/post game dining or whatever with your new middle-aged friends.

to be honest, Will is practically middle-aged anyhow, so it ought not to bother him

I'm talking like, 60+ here folks.

Anyway, I said yes.

The 5/6 hrs is because said relative lives <1mi from here so we'd be travelling into the stadium (and back) together and also, he wants to leave early.

Well, I went, and saw Bonds play crap and get booed/cheered depending on the patron. Soriano was exciting to watch. His wide batting stance alone is entertaining.

He doesnt have much choice with his giganticlly over-sized bat.

4 bats broke in that game, it was crazy. 3 of them in a row.

Also, the lady that sang the national anthem was awwful.
