Does anyone know if Mr Iha is in the new SP lineup? It would be like having the price is right without Bob Barker.

I've been thinking about it a lot lately, and it seems like there are only two ways to look at it:
1. There's no way in Hell Billy AND Jimmy would both think that they could pull this off without at least one other original member (the most likely of those two would obviously be James). So James (in one way or another- like, perhaps he will only tour, or only do albums, etc.) will definitely be in.
2. They've reached a point where they've become so delusional that they think they can get away with it, in which case it would have to be the greatest album ever to succeed or it will fail (which, it probably should-despite the abounding love i have for the both of them).

I think James will either be in or out 100%. I couldn't see him working with Billy enough to play songs live or record in the studio without being in the band properly.
My take on all this is pretty much reticence. It's up to someone from the original SP lineup to say whether or not x or y is in, and until that happens I'm ignoring the rumours. Normally I enjoy drama in some weird perverse way but these guys are my all-time favourite band so I am staying outta this one.
I'm sure they think they can "get away with it", after all Billy has flamed James and D'arcy at various times post-pumpkins and despite however much good chemistry there once was, Billy is undeniably the frontman. So if thinks he can do it then he'll go ahead with it. At least Jimmy is in. :geihand:

maybe more like Dennis Rodman in the 2nd threepeat, considering James' hair and bouts of flamboyance.

not really. i know james had plans to leave, but he didnt have to leave in the end, because the band broke up.

i think it's more likely that the band broke up because he wanted to leave (and the rest didn't want to continue without him), but that they made an arrangement that james would stay until the end of the tour.
i even think that if they hadn't decided to break up the band, james would have left a lot earlier.

yeah. i think he would have left straight after d'arcy

There was a big article in the Tribune shortly after the final show. James was quoted as saying that he would have kept "soldiering on" had Billy not made that decision.
Apart from what Mr. C says, i don't think James was looking for a way out. I think it just got spun that way.

I'm not sure, it would be nice though of he is. All I know is if he is/does Billy and him would have to have a long chat and Billy would possibly have to apologize to him for saying those things about him in the press while he was on tour with A Perfect Circle.

Billy just called. James is in. Billy won't apologize though. But James doesn't care about that. "I just wanna rock."

Awsome! I guess it shouldn't matter though, it's all about the music. So they're recording now, right?

That was just a rumor. Someone claimed that he had a good source, but that's all I heard. So don't count on it too much...
It would be nice if it were true though.

In other news, I don't know.
Maybe spaghetti?
