This is very wise and I used to do this, but freaking Xbox Live has been motivating me to keep buying the games that my friends are buying while they're still fresh and the online community is all learning the game at the same time.

Incidentally, I bought Crackdown this week. So far I've focused most of my energy on building up my agility because jumping from rooftop to rooftop is SO MUCH FUCKING FUN! I'll get around to completing the missions one of these days.

Exactly. Finding and friending a group of regular players that you keep playing with is far easier and less weird than I thought it would be, but it also has that peer pressure purchasing effect.

Played my first online co-op game of Crackdown last night. 4-5 hours with only one other guy who was also playing his first online game. It's actually a lot more fun than I thought it would be. I was really surprised to see that it was 5 AM when I signed off.

It's not really new...but my brother bought "Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones" for tha GBA last Christmas and I finally picked it up to play last weekend. Totally awesome. Made remember how much time I spent playing the first American version of Fire Emblem and the Gamecube version. It's actually the first time in a long time I've been so excited about a game franchise. Can't wait for the new title for the Wii.

MGS2 on the PS2. Because I lent my copy to some guy in 2004 and then lost touch with him. I want to bring myself fully up to speed with the story as MGS4 takes off from there. THere is also a samurai sword, bloop!

The junction system is the shit. Just wait until you get some fat magic. Tip: buy Hi-Potions and when you have the magic creation ability you can turn them into curaga. An excellent early magic.

In any event, I downloaded a snes emulator and am currently playing Chrono Trigger.
