It might give them a boost but Nintendo's got them beat as far as what they're offering. Ultimately I doubt this will change much.

I think the 360 will do alright, especially since it's been out a while and the price isn't outrageous. It's sony that's in trouble.

Despite the fact that they will have the best system, best game developers and best marketing division? The only thing that will hamper their continued domination of the market will be the price. I have a feeling that it'll drop quicky (a la the original xbox) and sales will stabilise.

BTW I am not a sony fanboy or anything, I am primarily a PC gamer.

I don't think the playstation will be wiped out, but it seems to me that this is a situation similar to when the playstation came out. Nintendo's arrogance really hurt them, and Sony is arrogant to think they can get away with a $600 system.

$600 for a PS3? it's gonna cost around £450 in the UK.
