For those of you who don't know yet, please refer to my post in the regular blamo SP/Zwan forum labelled, "Ghost Children 2: Friends and Enemies". I think you will be pleasantly surprised if you are fan of Defined Mercury or any of the bands that sprung up from that (eg. Ask the Dust). I don't want to double post, so someone here can feel free to translate that original post here. You can also check http://www.act4.net

Well, the tracklisting has finally been revealed for the followup to 2001's Ghost Children: A Tribute to the Smashing Pumpkins. The new album is tentatively titled "Ghost Children: Friends and Enemies", of course a take on Machina 2's title "The Friends and Enemies of Modern Music".

The album will be released likely in Summer 2006, but reservations and pre-orders can be made at http://www.act4.net
The more reservations we get now, the sooner the album will come out, because it shows that people can't wait for its release. We are in the process of having the record mastered, the artwork finalized, and will be settling rights and legalities shortly. There will be only 200 copies of the CD available.

The artwork for the cd is being done by Kate Fuller, who is better known for her satirical online comic strip, Billy The Egomaniac, which charts the
fictional trials and tribulations of Billy Corgan and his former/current bandmates ( http://www.crookedteeth.net/btem.html ). The cover art is more in a classical style, like her other artwork, rather than the caricatured style of the BTEM strip.

Here is the tracklisting:
1. Zleep- "Bodies"
2. Alluvion- "Ava Adore"
3. Frequency Fall- "Saturnine"
4. Mike K- "Home"
5. Joao Miguel- "Crush"
6. The iO's- "Set the Ray to Jerry"
7. Rakshasa- "Daphne Descends"
8. Defined Mercury- "Geek U.S.A."
9. Digital Noise Addiction- "Not Worth Asking"
10. Pennyred- "Tonight, Tonight"
11. Mike Hamilton featuring Shane Devon- "To Sheila"
12. Death Rawk Boy- "Today"
13. Norbert Kristof- "1979"

Maybe 2Goldfish thought "oila" was a very concise, effective and easy way to translate the post?

We now have good quality mp3 clips of Ghost Children 2 up on our website, as well as a sample of the cover art. Some of the names have changed, due to artist name changes.

Anyways, if you don't already know, we have also set a tentative release date for October 5th, 2006, which is the 18th anniversary of SP's first full band performance at Metro. This release date is subject to change. We encourage people to pre-order the cd as soon as they can, as this is a limited edition release (200 copies).

To check out everything, once again go to http://www.act4.net/ghostchildren2.htm
