So, I never opted for email notification, and all of a sudden I'm getting emails for every thread I posted in. I guess the default got changed or something, so I went into my usercp and changed back to no emails, but I'm still getting them.

I just dumped all the data in the thread subscription table, so hopefully this will fix these problems. If not, I'm thinking I'm going to just shut off this option, as it is killer on the e-mail server.

You mean just the email option, not the subscription option, right aaron?

Edit: Because, like... I've only got about 3 subscribed threads right now. Which is a lot less than the thousand something it used to be.

Yeah, all my subscribed threads are gone now; I haven't gotten any emails since you did that.

I don't use subscriptions at all...I see essentially no reason to. I can remember where I've posted and where I haven't most of the time...

I'm not fond of boards without subscriptions.

I don't have time to browse around in all the boards every time I come on here just to find the old threads that interested me.

Looks like I have to go through and index the whole thing over again now.

Subscriptions are cool. Massive amounts of subscription emails are not ;)

I guess since I only really read a few boards and not nearly all of them, I don't really have to worry about forgetting about threads that I find interesting.
