Michael Stipe wrapped the charged night with a set that included guests James Iha and singer-songwriter Joseph Arthur. The gang performed the Arthur-penned "In the Sun," which Stipe recently recorded as a benefit track for Hurricane Katrina victims.
"We have to do this thing more often," said Stipe, "you know, protest."

Dang, the people at ONTD are so focused on image . . . well, we are all are. I liked the person who said James's haircut was shockingly similar to Barbara Walters', l-o-l. But seriously I had no idea there were so many Young Republicans reading online celebrity blogs!
any person who documents britney's existence on this earth for posterity deserves to be a Republican

There is going to be a documentary on this I read somewhere...maybe murmurs.com
I love In The Sun that Michael Stipe has done. A good cover.
I know it's like beating a dead horse but really ....the hair has got to go James.
It's so shallow of me but he have had so much credibility and his hairstyle is a reflection of his mind state...
Is there trouble at home?
Thanks for putting up the picture. Can't wait to hear the song.
