On a more serious note, nice track, quite nicely mixed etc. Like the whole interweaving guitar thing. Might want to beef up the bass of the guitar a bit and add some reverb to the drums though. Not too much mind. And I would say it perhaps goes on a little too long considering there aren't any vocals.

What pedal are you using btw? Sounds like it could be a Muff from here.

well... about the bass thing. the two amp options i have are a crate halfstack from 12 years ago, with a broken head, or a fender champion 110 (practice amp looking thing). sometimes i will run the fender through half of the cab if i want it to sound bassy and beefy, the problem is that everything in my room rattles when i do that. so when i record i record just throught the fender, at a quiet level, so thats probably why it didnt come out sounding to bassy.

as for the distorion, i just use the straight up fender dirty channel, which actually sounds great at a decent level, but with the combination of a 5 dollar best buy mic, and the amp at a low level, it does come out a bit fuzzed out. i do have a muff, but recording the muff with the situation i have now, is even worse especially without anything to 'reel' it in it just kinda sounds alot like noise haha.

ya i understand the length thing, but making up all the drum parts was fun as fuck haha. time consuming, but fun as fuck. what i really need to do is find some more plug ins for hammerhead due to the lack of cool drum sounds that comes with it. alot sounds horrible lol.

anyway thanks for listening.

ps guitar is a gretsch duo-jet. reminds me alot of my old 74 SG sound wise.

edit****

went back and messed around with the EQ in kristal and beefed up the bass for the guitar and added some reverb for the drums. good call.

sounding really cool. i recognise all the hammerhead sounds cos i use them myself. hehe. the guitar parts are also really good - just about interesting enough to stand on their own with no vocals as well. i like it.

oh, one thing though - surely if you need to add more bass to the guitar and can't do it in the recording process (move the speaker further towards the outside of the cone?) then you could EQ it in the mixing?

thanks for the comments guys, have been working on old guitar demo's and messing around with arrangement and drums.... BUT since seeing NIN last friday I totally want to make an industrial song and since i now have this neat drum machine.... now i just need a keyboard, any free computer progs with keyboard sounds?

There are loads of free VST synths on the web, but Kristal is very pernickety about which VSTs it wont crash with. Nor does it support MIDI, so actually, it wont let you use VST synths. You may be able to find some free software synths that are standalone and will let you make music without a sequencer, although you would also need a MIDI keyboard which I suspect you don't have.
