Beatmatching is making the beats match. That's what dj's do.

I guess most rock star dj's don't give a fuck. And they shouldn't. There's a big difference between real dj's playing a real set and famous people spinning some discs. Although it would be great if they would actually have some talent to mix two tracks into each other, I think it doesn't really matter in this case.

Yeah I have actual DJ friends who play dance music (drum and bass & garage) and they beatmatch on their Technics and shit, take it very seriously. Any person can cue the tracks up but it's slowing them down and deciding when to start teh next mix that takes talent/practice.

i used to dj at my friends parties and stuff and got good at beat matching and all that- then i got really bored cuz thats basically all there is to it and sold my gear and switched to producing. its much more fun cuz youre actuallly surprise- being creative. if you like electronica especially the experimental kind u shud check out my site www.myspace.com/cstibrany ;) i wonder if james is any good at djing. id still pay to see him do it tho prolly no matter wOt hehe
