I'd probably ask him about whether he intends any releases of his early unreleased material and other rarities. I'd also get into his covers, which I think are extraordinary and ask what other songs he'd love to record covers of. I'd probably get into how I think that he'd be able to do killer covers of songs by his label-mates the Thermals, because of his ability to strip the songs down to their bare essentials and find the melody and poignancy in any song... I'd be one of those interviewers who probably talks a lot.

would it be weird to ask him to talk a little about elliott? if he (elliott) influenced his music, if they'd ever met, what he thought about him as a musician? i'd really like to hear that. :)
