But it's the perfect food! All food-groups are represented; the bread group the cheese group the tomato group and the olive oil group. No? What about the garlic group and the basil group! Not the cornerstone of a nutritious diet? So much for my nutritional acumen.

Ah, but it IS the cornerstone of a nutritious diet, or the understone or something, because you can put ANYTHING on a pizza. It's the foundation of life itself.

At very least the cornerstone of a nutritious breakfast!
And desert...
:yum:
You can put anything on popadom though also, if you're gentle, would they count?
I mean you couldn't slam an apple on one, but you could certianly squeeze choclate syrup on one with anchovies...

Do you eat pizza with your hands (as opposed to a knife and fork) or do only Americans do that?

Depends really... if it's thin crust and oven made at home the crusts can be really annoying and it's better to use the forkin' knife... but most of the time I go down the hands route.

I remember watching a woman in Galway eat a hamburger on a bun/bap with a knife and fork and feeling that good manners and fast food had tragically collided. But maybe that's just Ireland for you.

Yeah, my sister does that with southern fried chicken legs. She has to learn it's more embarrasing to do that than it is to pick up the chicken.

Hot Cheetos? Whaaaaaaa?
Every few months or so, some kind of mechanism goes off and my life simply can't continue until I get a Snickers bar. I always like Snickers, no matter what, but they are an occasional, and inexplicable, necessity.
On a regualr basis, that is, whenever I go to my mom's house, I always get into the Oatmeal Cream Pies that are for my brother's lunches.... mmmmmmmmmm....
Also, Ben & Jerry's Peanut Butter Cup ice cream. Bliss.

Weirdly, I only really eat Triscuits when I'm getting over a cough -- swallowing them helps scratch my throat itch without hurting it. :-o
Junk food? Hmm. I like Hot Fries -- the only brand I can find lately is Andy Capp's, but there used to be a brand called Tom's and they were much better. Dang. I also like ginger snaps.
And fast food . . . I usually avoid. Hate the burger places. Hate 'em. :hate: But I will unabashedly partake in some Popeyes Fried Chicken from time to time -- muuuuuuuuch better than KFC, plus hello! Red beans and rice! And biscuits! Hot yummy biscuits I can put honey on, mmmmmmm . . .

i love junk food.
my favourites are:
nachos
hula hoops
maltesers
rolos
chocolate fudge brownie ben and jerrys.
i have a weird love/hate relationship with fast food places...like, i really really hate mcdonald's as a company and yet the call of the mcchicken premiere is just too overwhelming. and mcflurrys. i just love them. so i go in, then feel sick for the rest of the day. like, physically and EMOTIONALLY.
whenever i want to go to mcdonalds, i just read fast food nation or don't eat this book by morgan spurlock, then flagelate myself. it's a system.
kfc however, is for cavemen, and i have no problem avoiding that. ew. i mean, who wants a side portion of beans?
i wish we had taco bell here. :darn:

What's a popadom?
It's this black pepper-infused sort of cracker (more fragile than a cornchip) that they serve in Indian restaurants while you're waiting to order. You really can eat them with almost anything. I'd post a photo but I'm not sure I can handle that on this new site yet. :\
My favorite junk food:
Brownies
Cookies that contain chocolate
Cake, preferably those that contain chocolate
Herrell's, Christina's, or Ben & Jerry's ice cream, preferably containing chocolate
Chocolates
I'm a giant sweet tooth that somehow got conned into dragging an entire body around with it.
