In this other thread (http://www.blamonet.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=1918182#post1918182) they talk about the 'concept' of the Machina album.
I have no idea what it is, could someone fill me in?
Also, was there any concept to Gish or Siamese Dream?
Thanks.
No concept to Gish or SD, which is why I said everything from Mellon Collie onwards. I suppose that could've included Gish but... umm.. feck off.
The Machina "mystery" is very vague and far fetched, I'd suggest you google it, you'll get a much better answer than anyone here can (or will) give you.

Basically, most everything you need to know is in these links:
Billy's big fat explanation of the story (http://www.billycorgan.it/modernfable.asp)
Winner dude of Machina contest (http://www.spfc.org/news-press/articles.html?content_id=1405)
All seven cryptic excerpts (http://www.pumpkins.it/glass.html)
What those don't say is that the "Machina story" is pretty much an attempt to tie nearly every song in the SP catalog together in the most bizarre way possible. Billy's explanation basically covers all of the essential points - it's essentially an odd, semi-autobiographical story with some mysticism thrown in for fun.
That's about it, really.

To me, the mystery of Machina has always been how people can enjoy the album.

Y'know to this day I've never bothered to read all of the Machina stuff. It's rather close minded of me but it pissed me off from the beginning so NYEH.
