My cousin was travelling in Australia two years ago and went to the Australia Day parade. The prime minister (John Howard is it?) was there, and in front of a TV crew asked my cousin if she was proud to be australian today, but instead of going along with it she said in her best drunken tarts voice "Wot yoo on abaht, I'm Inglish!" and she got on the TV  I love drunken british people abroad. Keep reppin' no doubt.

I'm really not looking forward to the flight to Australia, when I go in a couple of years. I'm a shit traveller.

I fucking hate airports. Especially the one in Brussels, whoever designed it should be shot.
Fredrique: "hey pierre, what should we do with ze part of the aeroport?"
Pierre: "I deduce we build lots of empty space for no aparent reason, so ze people will be late for their flights."

BUT, the worst airport ever is in Atlanta. I'm pretty sure that airport is bigger than the city I live in.

I was this close *makes a short distance with fingers* to getting to NYC airport and seeing it for myself, before I found out I had got jipped by the holiday operator cunt bloke.
I hope Australia lose the Tri-Series, and the final's between Sri Lanka and South Africa. Or, if Australia gets through, they play Sri Lanka and get their ASSES WHIPPED BY JAYASURIA.

"Drain the Blood" by the Distillers is such a solid tune. I dare you to say otherwise.

Astralia Day is the day of independance, no? could someone tell me a little about it? I asked an aussie/PNG missionary kid once and he hadn't a slightest clue as to what it was.

The real reason for Australia day is though, that you get the day off work, and have to get really really pissed. It'd be unaustralian to do otherwise.

I hear it's easy to get jobs in Aus? I'd do anyhting man Labouring/Office work/Bar work just something to pay for day-to-day living, I'll be taking about 3000 Great British Pounds with me to start with.

If you can speak even just moderate english, go work in a call centre. Its easy to get jobs there and the pay isn't that bad.

Ha. I speak the Queens English friend (when i can be bothered to). I would do anything really, and I'll probably work full-time for a bit too, so I can just go sick on buying tings and find some drug dealers and shit.
Will I have to buy a baseball bat for blapping tarantulas d'ya think? I aint picking up one of those hairy motherfuckers.

Of course. Alternative cooking devices are actually illegal here.

Good good. I wish England had a national day like that. It's as if it's illegal to celebrate St. Georges Day in April. But the Irish/Scottish/Welsh go mad on St Patricks/Andrews/Davids day.
NeonJesus
01-27-2006, 09:04 AM
Yeah Aussies are mad for St Patrick's Day as well. Probably because it's an excuse to get plastered, but, whatever. I'm allowed to celebrate it because I'm a convict.

 that's classsic. shhnap, my aunty is heavily into Genealogy too! Found out there's a Jew in our family, and I'm an 1/8th Jew, I was nearly sick. :D jk.
oh well the ship ride was probably teh worst bit of the whole punishment. We didnt send over the really bad guys, the rapists and murderers and shit, so you can definitely call aussies convicts in jest.
plus the fact that aussies get to live in australia kind of takes the edge off the insult.
We nearly moved to Australia a few years ago.

It seems lovely, I have heard from family members that the people are a tad arrogant though, very competitive. But they dont get half as much stick as Americans :)

Really? I didn't know that. I did have a nice chat with the fellow from 'Jews For Jesus' one day, though.
