Hello,

I've been playing guitar and piano for many many years, but have never learnt any theory at all.

I want to start learning, can anyone recommend any decent books to get me going?

I'd appreciate any help!

Cheers,
J :)

I'm looking into this too, I'll let you know when I find out. I think there are books done by the people who do the theory exams which would probably be worth looking into.

I think you two should study musical theory together...
I started swotting for my Grade 5 theory many many years ago but it was so boring I've forgotten it all, which is sort of annoying now.

The girl i'm trying not to fall in love with at work inspired it cause she is studying for her theory 5, and i thought to myself, i could really develop my musical skills if i tried somethign totally new.
