I'd really love to get hold of that soundtrack, Seu Jorge covers those tracks so well, and Mothersbaugh writes some beautiful music. The scene with Sigur Rós' Staralfulr (spelling?) is perfect.

that song isnt on the album though if I remember correctly. If not that one, there's one key song in the film that isnt on teh soundtrack.

Yeah you're right, it's missing. Must be something to do with the rights for the song, because leaving it off for any other reason makes no sense.

Could be any number of things. Could've been that the band didn't want it on the soundtrack, would rather keep it solely in the film... could be clearance issues, could be contractual reasons, could be royalties reasons.

Shit happens. Makes one wonder, considering that one of the key songs in the movie "Road House" (seriously) isn't on the soundtrack.

And yeah, I love this soundtrack. It took a while to convince me to par it up with Tenenbaums, but this is killer. I love the "pirates" theme.

HEY!

What makes a man?
Is it the power in his hands?
Is it his quest for glory?
Give it all you've got,
to fight to the top
So we can know your story!

Now you're a man!
A man, man man!
Now you're a man!
A manny manny man!
A man man man!
You are now a man
You're a man!

Now you're a man!

Live it, live it!

What makes a man?
Is it the woman in his arms?
Just cause she has big titties?
Or is it the way he fights every day?
No, it's probably the titties!

Now you're a man!
A man, man man!
Now you're a man-man!
Man-man man-man man!
Now you're a man!
M-A-N, man!
Man, man-man!

Now you're a man!

I've never had a death or injury of any sort in my (scant) dreams. Just thought I'd add that.
