I heard a single for it on the radio t'other day, it was okay, not too different from their earlier shit, but I only heard half of it, who knows???

Thanks! I hate how the british press criticize(sp) Placebo just because of the singer's behavior. They are ok, I like how they merged Fugazi, Sonic Youth and The Smiths in an ultra pop act.

What the british music magazines?? Yeah most of them are shitty shit shit shit

How is it legal for Placebo to release the same song over and over again and just change the title of it?

placebo < son of dork

I have just listened to this one and I must say that, except for the last 2 songs, it is quite bad. I guess we'll never have another Without You I'm Nothing. I'm definitely not buying this one

Ah, of course. I became suspicious when I learned that Keane also had a big Mexican following.

I don't care about Brian Molko's behaviour, rock stars have to be rock stars, but Placebo have always seemed like a poor man's TSP to me.

One of the few bands I really like that Kendra really dislikes. :D

Their previous album was kinda disappointing tho. Only 2 or 3 tracks were decent.

Really? I dont percieve any similarities really. They have said they dont like SP publicly(sp) too. I think they are much more punkier, and the thing that really set sp appart is the lack of punk influences in their music even when the 90's punk revival (grunge) was at its best.

Ooh...I heard Michael Stipe was on it...was I bullshitted to?

I kinda like Placebo..their best LP is WYIN...black market music sucked, but there last one was pretty decent...and they are a nifty live act too. I've enjoyed them every time I've seen them.

 Oh i never accused anyone of ripping anyone off, I said they were a poor man's version, it's totally different. It doesn't require the subject to be influenced by the comparison, just to sound a bit like them (but not as good).

Yeah, he's on the record. The track he sings on is probably one of the weakest on the album though.

I still love that album, probably too much. I thought "A Commercial for Levi" was like, the best song of all time.

I still haven't heard "Sleeping with Ghosts" although it is on my CD shelf.
