Cool

They go back to 1970s or something.

I bet you have heard the song Horse With No Name.

"I'v been trough the desert on a horse with no name... na na nanananan... "

I doubt James will sing on the album. We can sure hope, but producers usually just contribute instrumentally. Either way its cool:)

Anyway, your not the first who think they sound the same as CSN, and even more common is to compare America to Neil Young.
America sounds very much like some of Neil Youngs acoustic folkrock stuff, and the vocals are very similar. The song A Horse With No Name is often mistaken for a Neil Young song, and there a lots of mislabeled MP3s floating around. In fact thats how I first heard of the band. I downloaded a mislabeled MP3 when I was looking for Neil Young tunes.

that is cool. I knew James is a big Neil Young fan. You can tell he tried to evoke some of that feel on his solo album, too, has a country-ish 70's-ish stripped down kinda feel. He would be the perfect person to work with them, yay for good exciting news.

Also, even though we don't hear too much about what he's up to lately, I'm sure he's busy with owning that studio, producing, DJ'ing, clothing line etc. He's probably got a full plate - does anyone else think that he won't be rejoining the Pumpkins and not really mind it?

I mean true I loved the Pumpkins, and I still want Billy to make more music. It would be sad if he didn't. And he can make it with Jimmy and call it the Pumpkins I don't care. I'm looking forward to whatever Billy and Jimmy put out, whether together or separate and whatever they choose to call it.

But I really think the time of the Pumpkins in their heyday was over, everything has an end, and I don't see any point in James going back to it. It just doesn't seem like he wants to. He's doing to much on his own and seems to be enjoying it. And I'm also looking forward to seeing if James puts out any music on his own. He's a talented guy and it'd be cool to hear a full album with his own style on it again. I'd actually rather that then he rejoin the Pumpkins and tour with them but we only hear like one new token song from James and that's it.

I think I'll be holding myself up with my jaw if James was ever in the same studio with Billy again.

I was surfing the google tonight for pictures of Anthony Kiedis and I was on some messageboard and in the middle of a discussion about HOW HOT ANTHONY IS OMG OMG people were also talking about other folks and someone was like "Why do girls like James Iha so much?" Got a chuckle out of that one.

I'm actually excited to hear about whatever Pumpkins news comes out this year but I'm not holding my breath. James being involved in a reunion would be awesome but yeah... we'll see. I quite liked the Machina (S+P tour) lineup. Melissa fit in really well.

Dude, I am sorry. I cleaned my history up last night so my roommate could use my computer AND I was surfing like a billion sites so I have nfi where that was. I don't think anyone really responded to that guy cos they were still on and on about Anthony Kiedis. Who has crooked teeth, but not in the attractive Billy Corgan way. ;D I think the posting was pretty old as in... at least 4 years?

Great song. Don't see why they'd pick James to work with them though.

Just curious, but do you know anyone who actually finds Billy attractive?

Nah just kidding I'm cool with gays.

What I'm NOT cool about is people who like Billy's body.

I've always thought Billy had a very good-looking face. His jaw is fantastic, as are his brows. But yeah he's a bit tall and gangly for my tastes. I'm really a lesbo so I don't like big men. I always remember this girl on the o-board saying "He is basically my idea of perfect human beauty" Oooookay, let's not get spiritual.
