i just ran out in the living room because i heard billy's voice. my mother was watching cold case on cbs and they were playing "landslide". i mentioned this to my friend and he said as he was watching nfl clips and the background music just happened to be "today".
i find this to be very interesting...seeing as how they usually play something a little more current. perhaps billy is trying to remind people of the pumpkins? maybe it's just random, idk. either way, it made me happy.
o, btw, hi everyone

Yeah I usually never watch Cold Case but did tonight. They played some pretty good songs. They started out with "Come out and play" by the Offspring. Then throughout the show they also played "Vaseline" by Stone Temple Pilots and "No Excuses" by Alice in Chains.

I don't watch Cold Case that often (twice in the past year I think), but I did catch it last night. I really should have been working on my assignment for stats class but for whatever reason, I felt that I had to keep watching, I guess because I figured they might throw in some Pumpkins songs since it was about a case set in 1994 (just after Kurt Cobain's death). Oh and since you mentioned 'Today' in relation to NFl clips, I thought I would also mention that it was played during that episode of Cold Case as well. The last two songs of the episode being 'Today' and 'Landslide'.

I was watching it, but I had to turn it off because guests had arrived. :(

This may begin to become more frequent. The older people who were teens in the 90's become, the more the media will use not only SP but alt. music in general to capture that specific demographic's attention to whatever is on the tube. TFE will probably enjoy being reincarnated in samples, as is already beginning to happen.
