The CIA just called an airstrike on Pakistan because they thought they saw a senior Al Qaeda guy there. Naturally he wasn't there, and they managed to kill 18 civilians. Uhm... what the fuck. Is every non-western country just fair game now or something? Except North Korea, obviously.

It was Pakistan, it's not like they killed real human beings.

It's amazing to watch how the threshold of what we find acceptable "in the war on terror" gets higher & higher. But Ted's right, they're just Muslims out there, not like there are actually human beings. What's with this "innocent" people being killed? I thought they were all terrorists.

I still laugh hard at a guy I knew who blammed 9/11 "on those Hindu's". I <3 people.

I guess it's nothing new, it just pisses me off. I hate this whole mentality of pre-emptive attacks and dumping a ton of missiles on any place that suits us just because one person might me there. The CIA most likely has people in pretty much every country in the Middle East anyway, so wouldn't it have been more productive to just like... pick him up, or something?

America has always been a bit thrifty with it's bombs man. It's just, back in WW2 they used to know what they were bombing, now they bomb on "inklings".

I think I'm probably just being very naive about how all of this works. I'd just be so annoyed if I was going about my business and then a bomb dropped on my head just because of what all these terrorists and army assholes are up to. I just went out to get the paper, you know?

Don't worry Mark, I completely agree.

Well now the US is claiming the possibility of it being the man they were looking for, or, at "the very least, terrorists". Without actually knowing myself, it sounds like an answer to give to justify the results of the attack. It's not like the CIA has a good track record with these things.

So their argument really is like "Well, it's Pakistan. I'm sure they were up to no good?" Bloody hell.

I'm surprised Pakistan haven't kicked up a stink.

I could've swore I read somewhere that the town in Pakistan had invited him for the celebration of Eid (sp.).

Then I'm tempted to think if you play with fire you get burnt. Playing with fire here meaning cosciously allowing Al Qaeda / Taleban on your shit.

I'm still looking for the source, so don't take it as truth yet. I could very well be wrong.

I'm just scared, I want the war to end and everyone to be friends.

What the hell ever happened to sniper's and infiltrating the other side, and spy's. Why can't our military find these people (whoever they are looking for)?

Is our war goal still to stop terrorism?

That's what Bush told me he was doing.

That can't be done. So wtf?

It's strange watching Bill Hicks DVD's from years ago and everything he says there is still relevant now. History just repeating itself... If Bush had his own way he would probably wage fuckery on Tehran in a few years for all this nuclear shit though. But a wiser person wont, as there are the Chinese to think about now, who are desperate not to upset Iran and will secure it's main oil source however possible.

I was thinking that the other day. Particularly in relation to his act where he emulates Reagan in the Arms warehouse.
