I saw on PBS a couple of weeks ago part of some Grateful Dead concert movie thing and it reminded me how, were I alive in 1968 and watching the Democratic convention on TV, I'd have been rooting for the police.

I never liked the dead that much, they're fine, just not my thing... but I will agree with the negative sentiment about their fans... not anything against you (peppermint), but I alwyas get pissed off by the uber shallow (ie, "we just need peace, man") retarded hippie stoner loser... which really has always seemed ot be just a mellowed out frat kid to me.
