I've been hating bright eyes since before it was cool... but he's not absolutely awful, i just don't get how anybody could enjoy him that much... tight pants, studded belt scenester garbage folk i guess...

but again, i dont see why we needed this thread... it brings notihng to the arguement...

but I could name a dozen artists that are doing things similar to what he's going for but doing it much much better

I can't see how you can notice the similarities between Bright Eyes and many bands you like, yet still dismiss him. It's pretty much the same style of music, Oberst just does it better and has a huge following.
