How many times was Dancing on the Highway performed live? The only version I have is from a show in England (er..for some reason I thought France..). I was just listening to it and started to wonder.

I'm not exactly sure, but I think I have 4 or 5 different versions.

really? Any clue where they're from, and if they're any different than the version available on the confusion mix?

I have the following in addition to the confusion mix:
2-29-2000 Satyricon, Portland
3-01-2000 Bottom of the Hill, San Fran
3-30-2000 University of London
They're all acoustic and pretty much the same as the confusion mix. There are a few lyrics here and there that are different though.

What about -- 04.03.2000 La Boule Noire, Paris? He played it between 'Single File' and 'I Figured You Out'

Okay, there is a BIG problem here.
I have "Dancing on the Highway" listed 5 times:
02-29-2000
Satyricon
Portland, OR
03-01-2000
Bottom of the Hill
San Francisco, CA
03-17-2000
La Zona Rosa
Austin, TX
03-30-2000
University of London Union
London, England
04-21-2000
Virgin Megastore
New York, NY
Nowhere do I have it between "Single File" and "I Figured You Out".
I do not have it listed for (and this is apparently where the Confusion take hails from?):
04-03-2000
La Boule Noir
Paris, France
Son of Sam
Southern Belle
Happiness
Easy Way Out
LA
Rose Parade
Pretty Mary K
Needle in the Hay
Color Bars
Wouldn’t Mama Be Proud?
Between the Bars
Last Call
Somebody That I Used to Know
The White Lady Loves You More
Say Yes
Angeles
Ballad of Big Nothing
Independence Day
Pitseleh [stopped]
Division Day
Nighttime
The above setlist is from Addy and other places.
HELP, PLEASE!!

STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP the madness.
Single file and Dancing on the Highway that are commonly said to be from the La Boule Noir show are in fact from the ULU show. Not sure where the I Figured You Out version is from (there are so god damn many of them, and most sound basicly the same. i've never had the urge to track it down)
Someone had space to fill on a CD and threw in a few extra tracks.
Elliott did NOT, I repeat NOT play Dancing on the Highway at La Boule Noir. Heresy, I know.

Niiru's right, Elliott did not perform "Dancing on the Highway" at La Boule Noir. That is from the ULU show.
By the way, there is a version of "Dancing on the Highway" that he did live as a full band version. Not sure which show that was.

Cute. And, you know, it would have been the absolute perfect song to have playing had she not said yes.

At least it worked both ways. Heaven forbid I had that early version of Strung Out Again from Gottenberg queued up.
