That comes from people who think they're deep when actually they don't get the fucking film.

I like it, no question, but I can't fucking grasp some of the plot. Christ.

Nice soundtrack though.

I think it's an alright movie. I put it in the same ballpark as Garden State whereas people confuse a deep concept with misunderstandings of the storyline. Except, I hate Garden State but think that Donnie Darko is a-ok, and the soundtrack is excellent.

the best/saddest part of the directer's cut
was the "donnie darko biggest fan video thing"

that #1 Fan doc was fucking great. I laughed my head off at it... it was faked, but still.
