Don't you think that the kids that constantly mock Conor (and not ina good-natured way) and don't ever seem to have a word of praise for him and then go to his shows and buy his records and take photos with him to show their friends are hypocrites? I guess they're trying too hard not to be fanatic about him as a person, because it's "about the music" and in doing so they go overboard and forget every human respect towards someone whose work they appreciate. They're probably scared that their clique will think ill of them if they show they like Bright Eyes. Yet they do, and listen to Fevers late at night when nobody sees them or something. :-D
It's like listening to Bright Eyes is some kind of guilty pleasure to them. I can't understand, I do not have guilty pleasures, if I like something I like it, it doesn't matter if it's cool or what.
