Are we talking other good songs or suggesting albums? If albums then I think a good starter is Lifted, if songs.. umm... I'd need to think, too many songs and I can't think right now. It'd probably end up being a pretty big list though.

Sorry to just jump in, I'm also new, but I didn't want to start a thread with a similar question.
Bright Eyes is one of those bands who is much maligned among people I know, so disliked they made me curious.I wanted to come to my own conclusions, so I bought Lifted and I'm Wide Awake It's Morning. After hearing the music, I'm definitely now a fan. I'm impressed with what I've heard, especially with Lifted.
So, yeah, what should be next?

I would recommend all records, but you´r a "rookie", so "Collection of songs" would be to much for you.
First i´d buy the 2 studio records, "digital ash in a digital urn" and "i´m wide awake it´s morning". Afterwards "Lifted, ..." and so on. The last records - at this point you learned really to adore bright eyes - "should be" "Collection of songs 1995-1997" and "fevers and mirrors". It´s the hardest to get used to them, but after a short time you´d love all the songs.

So, yeah, what should be next? I'd suggest you go for Fevers and Mirrors next, then either Letting off the Hapiness or Digital Ash in a Digital Urn. My favourite release is prbably Every Day and Every Night, which you should definitely get but it's only an EP so whilst you're discovering him I'd stick to the albums.

I concur with Mr Fab, but I think the EPs are quite a good place to start. It depends what you heard and liked, really, if it's stuff off I'm Wide Awake... you might hate lots of the other stuff.
