I'm a few years behind, but this (besides Cabin Fever) is definitely one of the best horror films to come out in the past few years. Very original and very, very good. For the James Duval fans, he's in it as well.

That movie is awesome. Cute little messed up girls are fun.

Ya gotta love it or hate it. There's really no in-between regarding it... what's odd is that it was filmed in North Carolina, rarely do any movies get filmed there.

The strangest thing I experienced with that film was that I rented the DVD, and I hated the movie, but then I watched all the extras and they almost managed to convince me that I liked it after all. It was weird.

If you can, watch all five commentaries (U.S. region 1). Seriously. The first is a major kick in the pants to someone who wants to do film, i.e. you (and secretly, me). Eli Roth is a very cool guy.

A kick in the pants in a good way? BTW have you seen "Overnight?" It's a documentary about this bartender who wrote a screenplay, and Miramax bought it, let him direct it, let his band do the soundtrack and got them signed to Maverick, and offered to buy the bar he works at for him, and he manages to fuck the whole thing up, just being being such an asshole. By the end of the movie he has nothing, and someone tries to run him over.

In a good way. The commentary with the male cast is some of the funniest shit ever...

I want to see this Overnight. Sounds like the director Jim van Bebber, google him... he's nuts.

i caught part of this a while back... i found myself going "jesus, jeremy sisto has to be almost as tall as i am" and more importantly "i can't believe i'm watching this". regardless, i couldn't change the channel. i liked cabin fever a bit more, but this was compelling on some sort of level that i'm not comfortable talking about. :-o

Overnight is about Troy Duffy, the man behind The Boondock Saints. I wouldn't mind seeing it either.
