Who's got one? What do you think of having to work to 67/68 before the Government coughs up?

I have. ANd I will accept it if it's necessary. TO be quite frank, I think the government should rank our elders, taxpayers for decades, way above these fucking girls that have kids at 15 and the asylum seekers in terms of "at-risk" social services targets.

Yeah! Those little whores should shut their legs!

wooo hooo!

When I get old, I'm going to live in the forest in a cave and eat roots and die of an infection.

I've got a private one. Start as early as you can. At least if I keep this pension then I could even retire early and have the good life.

There should be mandatory euthanasia at age 80

Nah that wouldnt solve anything Spaced.

Euan: yeah man, this one at work is a Local Government scheme, for every £1 I put in £3 goes in from KCC and teh Government. I'd love to retire at 55.

I didn't opt out of NHS superannuation so when I retire I will hopefully have enough left over to buy gin.
However, it's my firmly held belief that you can't plan for fun, therefore you can't plan for your retirement.

Relax, I was just seeing what would get taken seriosly here. ;)

I pretty much see myself working late into my 60's. The pension here puts you basically on the poverty line, so it's pretty much up to you to build up your super to something worth living off.

Yeah that's what everyone should do.

What fucks it up is when people leave it all up to the government and (here at least) start getting housing benefit, food vouchers, help with their bills and a pension. I think the governments idea of mandatory private pensions (which you can choose to opt out of after 6 months or something if you really dont like it) could be looked into in more detail.

My mom has a pretty good one where she'll be paid 2/3 of her highest salary.

Yeah that's what mine is. Final Salary Based.

I've noticed the older I get, the quicker time seems to go. I can remember the January snow of this year like it was a couple of months ago.

I can remember last Hogmanay really well. When I told my mum that I felt the year had passed quickly the only thing she said was: "that's a sign of getting older"
