Pick a song and tell us what you think it's about.

The difference in the shades.

I read somewhere that it's about a guy who dies and then his girlfriend commites suicide to be with him. Hence the references to the pills and blood all around the bed and the doctors finding them. I think it might more symbolic. Maybe it's about a relationship that didnt work out and the guy now feels dead and he feels that someday she'll realize things and come back to him. But he feels dead so maybe she has to die too, (suffer, get her heart broken) to come back to him and realize that they need to be together. Hmm I dunno...I'm rambling.

I thought it was about a broken TV set. Har har har.
I take it more as a something wrong with one of the two lovers and the other wishes that it was like it used to be. I guess the one person is dying though. Thats my little input. Good song.

I was trying to reply to this but since the television has just assaulted me with Dire Straits and Supertramp I just CAN'T.

For me difference in the shades is about two lovers and how their love becomes less intense but it's still there (the color is fucked metaphore), but then it finally dies out, but when she is old and dying the memory of him is still there as a last thought.

or she tries to kill herself but fails and she's just home from the hospital and resting and she's going to wake up again but her life won't be the same as before.

mostly to me is about the slow death of love and how it never really dies.

I don't think anyone really dies in Center Of The World though.
