watched it AGAIN at the weekend  it still cracks me up hard. So many phat lines:
"................Cornetto!"
"It's Electro. Prick"
"Alright! Gay!"
and apparently George Romero is a big fan of it.

"Mum! I haven't had sugar in my tea since 1982."
He gets the Mum character down so well. I think I may download some Electro soon, it makes me smile and it's true, you have to robot if it comes on. It's a passive reaction.

FUCK-A-DOODLE-DOO!
Definitely one of my favorite movies ever. The DVD is also quite outstanding... lots of extras. I also love the scene where David gets torn apart by the zombies. I like to turn and watch my friends who are watching for the first time so I can see their reactions.

"I'm Sorry."
"No. I'm sorry."
The bit when the zombie girl gets up after impaling herself on a pole, and then the fat guy starts winding his camera to take a picture cracks me up no matter how many times I see it.

I forget Shaun's real name, but all his previous TV comedy work, I used to find a bit hit and miss. The movie though was nothing like that, I rarely Laugh Out Loud at films, but that certainly makes me chuckle, even on the third viewing.
Ash that bit is funny. The bit before that where she turns round and they say "How drunk is she?!" and start laughing is

"We're talking about a man who's idea of a romantic night-spot and an impenetrable fortress are the same thing."
That's like my favourite line from any movie ever. :)

I love how it has this semi-cult status in the US. Was it a major blockbuster in the UK?

"I'll stop doing 'em when you stop laughing"
Shaun Of The Dead's setting = any suburb of London. Including (in the pooey areas) the graffiti and kids botting footballs into your cars and shit.

Really? I'd be so fucked off if some shithead, snotty kid kicked a football into my car. There would have to be stern words between me and that kid...

Hmm normally that would work, but say you lived in the ghetto, like Bow or Hackney, they'd probably steal your car and beat you up!
Like, some 16 year old kid was bullying this 14 year old kid, asking him for money and PS2 games, so the kids dad went out to tell the 16 year old off or whatever, and he stabbed him and killed him. It's the blacks man (not just them), all the younguns arent gangster enough to buy guns yet so they front with knives. I wouldnt live in Central if I was you Mike, try and get yourself into one of the suburbs.
Hehe, reminds me of the jokes Bill Hicks made about crime in England compared to crime in USA.
Yeah, I'm still a few years off from making any sort of plans, but I can see that when I do, I'm gonna have to do my research huh.

Cool, cool. Well actually fuck moving to London man. Theres plenty of other better places to go in England! You can go and see Big Ben and that on a daytrip or something!
Chopstick: only just saw your post about cult status. Ermmm No it wasnt a major hit here I dont think, just a widely applauded film by critics and those that paid to see it. As I said, "Shaun" has had many TV comedy roles here before so he's well known.
Simon Pegg (Shaun) is going to be in Mission Impossible 3 :O

WTF?!
Tom Cruise is getting old though man. His action film days will soon be over, surely?
Naa, Tom Cruise will be doing action films for as long as his ego remains bloated.
