Oh god, it so won't...no sane woman I've ever met, anyway. so actually, yeah, go ahead. We're the kind of chicks a man can do without.

ps I once did the full routine to Thriller in a bar and it didn't get me any boys. I'm understandably bitter.
Carpe Diem is full of myspace kids. I've been in there twice and Everyone I talked to asked me what my myspace address is.

please tell me you're not the teenage boy who I foolishly gave my number to on Friday night...I'm old enough to be your mother, if you are!
I was in Headingly at the Oak on friday night (I seem to remember you're from Leeds, so I'll just keep talking like you know what I'm on about), it was crap though, full of everyone leaving for uni and I'm too stupid/lazy to go to uni. Rest assured, i don't have your number.

I'm reassured you're not him. That's okay then...for some reason I imagine you're taller than he was too.
I hit six foot dead on. So what places do you go to give your number to teenage boys?

Oh yeah, you're definitely taller. Anywhere they have cocktails, or gin, usually. But I don't like that new pole dancing place, I fell down the stairs and I think I broke my hand. That was the week before though. Where do teenage boys go to give older women their numbers?
Star! I've only been a few times and it's mostly full of people who play air guitar to try and pull, but my friend gave his number to this girl who kept saying she was too old for him, then a week later her boyfriend rang him up... yeah. Mostly i just go to pubs in Headingly though, if I have to go into town then Fab (YES!), Capre Diem or, if I'm really stuck for places to go, Star.
Fab is the coolest place though, it's like the only club I actually enjoy.

Ah, Star! I used to go there a few years ago and was always about the oldest person there. They'd probably refuse me entry now :) Me and my friend have been contemplating going there again so maybe we will now, if it's this seething hotbed of corruptible young flesh you hint it is. I used to like Carpe Diem for after-work drinks until it started being full of 15 year old girls...not good for the soul when they're looking at you like you're their mum. I find Headingley a bit too full of mulleted twats in pink sweatbands yelling about the rugby, I am more of a Hyde Park/central slut. And Fab in my experience is full of 45-year-old divorcees who want a stepmother for their kids, but maybe I should give it another chance...
I only really go to Headingly because all my friends live there, and I've only ever been to Clock in Hyde Park but it was cool. Cape Diem plays ace music but yeah, full of myspace kids.
Fab is great though, but I can imagine if you're the upper side of 21 then some of the older men might try it on (like the guy with pink leg warmers who's always in there). Now I think about it Dry Dock's always good too, I've not been there too much though.

You sold me a pup, mister! I went to Carpe Diem last night cos my friend's band were on and there were only about ten people under 21! Is that cos it was a school night? I did enjoy listening to a teenage girl trying to buy some coke in the toilets though, that was funny in a pathetic kind of way...
probably, if you go tonight it'll be full of young boys just waiting to be taken advantage of. maybe.

should I just write my myspace address on my face and stand in the middle of the floor?

I went to Star instead. It was funny.

Um, well, I didn't see anybody in a tux (why were you in a tux? was it the prom or something?) or anyone dancing like a penguin, but I did talk to someone who was about seven feet tall (I'm not exaggerating) and befriended this poor fresher who had awful bitch housemates...I just felt kind of old to be honest, but nobody stared at me in horror or called me grandma. Is it just me or are we seriously the only people who ever post on this thing?
Yeah, sixth form leavers' thing. It does seem that we might have alienated everyone else by being all insular with our conversation, but there are a million other potential topics so i don't feel so bad.

I was referring to the whole thing, not just our cliquey little thread here...I'm going to play Spot The Fab when I go out from now on. I have not a lot to go on, but sometimes I'm quite intuitive, so be prepared for me to tell you where you were the night before.
I'll probably be at the oak again this friday, but I might be going into town afterwards. would you know what I look like? spot the you would be easier.

Why do you think that would be easy? The zimmer frame?

Is your screen name a Feist reference, per chance?

I meant to report this when it happened, but I went to Star again the other week, and I did actually randomly get off with some kid. He said he was 21 but I'm not convinced. I am ashamed. should I be on the sex offender's register?
