I'm sorry, I have to ask, why is charllotte your favorite city?
I loathe it beyond words.

I'm half kidding, I don't have a favorite city.

I do love my friends there, as I do Freedom Park. Oh, and the Penguin Cafe. Tremont Music Hall is awesome, too. Love the shows there. Why do you hate it?

nothing there for me.
the whole place reaks of high school, which I'd rather forget and theres really nothing to do. I've only really been to tremont once. it was cool. but theres a lot of little places like that here in wilmington...if only I could make friends that actually enjoy the music and would go with me. my coworkers seem pretty decent as far as music goes, but I think it would be rather awkward to ask my 30 year old boss to go to a show with me.:-o

but yeah. theres a lot more to do in wilmington. and a lot more places to sit and do nothing. Charllotte just seems so empty and dead. and cold. and really, really, lonely.
and my family drives me crazy, so I really can't stand staying there for more than a weekend.

I told you college life would change you.

I have no doubt in my mind Wilmington is way better than Charlotte. I prefer college towns, actually, than to any other city/town has to offer. Blue Velvet was also filmed there.

yeah, last semester I had a film major friend with good taste in music, so we'd go to shows together and when we weren't doing that, we were watching the most obscure movies....I've actually gotten into movies now, which is weird...I never really cared for them so much before....

anyway, I never did get to see blue velvet, but I heard a lot about it and I got to see the places it was filmed.
one day I'll get it from our library and watch it.
