Backstory: I live in an apartment. Last year I slept in a loft bed that was roughly six inches from the ceiling. The fuckwad upstairs played the SAME SONG at 7:30am every weekday. Unfortunately the song grew on me, but I couldn't make out the lyrics . . . until tonight, when I was sort of watching Me, Myself, and Irene with my roommate and the song came on again. Said the soundtrack was mostly by Pete Yorn, and low and behold it turned out to be "Just Another." So after months of agony and wonder, it turned out to be from a Dawson's Creek soundtrack. :B
My real question is, is Pete Yorn worth further research?

i don't know but he is pretty foxy.
i liked the occasional song i'd hear from him, ya know, as background music or something to 'bop' to or something!

He's extremely, extremely mediocre. But at the same time hooks onto you and you actually dig it. I can't explain it. I'm drawn to his music... Nothing special, but yeah.
I say go for him if you're just looking for an enjoyable artist, but not if you're going for lyrical or musical genius and whatnot.

I'm sorry I wanted to like him, but he was the opening act when I saw R.E.M. and he was EXTREMELY boring live. I'm serious it was bad.
I wish I had gotten Wilco as the opener like Lucas!
The only plus was the he came out when R.E.M. played E-Bow the Letter and sang Patti Smith's part and actually sounded great singing it.
But his opening set...HORRIBLE. I am too biased to ever give him a chance I think.

that's ok...the show was in Atlanta...it was a special show for the hometown crowd. The show was fantastic, the only part that sucked was Pete Yorn's opening set.

apparently it's not odd for him to pop a woody at shows.
also, dave grohl is on his upcoming cd.
