Anybody heard or heard of them? The Opened for Billy Corgan on a lot of his american leg... and they were the best band that played... not to say they're ass kickingly amazing, but the mix of Billy not really having a band, or any great songs to play didnt make it too hard... their album is really good and has some gorgeous moments on it... I was very surprised they were as good as they were for a good looking, tie wearing, mostly standard four piece (wit a wee bit o' de ole' trumpet) ... but yeah... their current album is pretty great and they have a lot of live charisma...
they have songs on their website...
thoughts?

I wasn't blown away, but they were enjoyable enough, certainly moreso than the horrid Radiohead/Mogwai on acid musings of the Crimea.
At the time, I sort of described them as a well-produced Pavement with a tromboner, but looking back on it, I don't know how accurate that description was.

and to say that Crimea resembled Radiohead or Mogwai on anything is a horrid insult to those respective artists... it was a more watered down version of Radiohead than Coldplay are...
