The B-52's, featuring the Spin Doctors (I'm not kidding), are playing this festival here in Brunswick, GA in October... I'm there. The funny thing is, I'd only talk to the Spin Doctors about The State...

oh and for the B52's of couse. The Spin Doctors are in that Hootie and the Blowfish category...nothing to get excited about but if the show is cheap enough I'd see it just for shits and giggles. Plus how many people come to Brunswick? Live music there needs to be encouraged.

It's $25, but I'm getting two tickets regardless. No one comes here, well actually when Island Rock Cafe was in existance, we had a lot of bands come here over the course of 10 years... David Lee Roth, Blue Oyster Cult, Quiet Riot, Gas Giants, even the Bangles (right before they broke up).

Awful isn't it.

I recently got the first B52 album from a second hand shop...it's really good...Love that songs about the telephone number!...Also think Peter Buck nicked the riff from that song!

I think my favorite two are My Own Private Idaho and the one where it's like "I"m Kate and I am a Taurus"

I love "Love Shack", it's fun, but the early B52's when Ricky Wilson was still alive was where it was at. They were pretty unique. And I love Kate, her voice is incredible.
