They were actually Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas who played Bob + Doug Mackenzie. They only hosted SNL once as a duo, but were on another skit comedy show made in Canada called SCTV (Second City Television). A lot of the original SNL cast came from Second City comedy school as well (Dan Akroyd and Gilda Radner was in the Toronto chapter with John Candy, Dave Thomas and many others). But anyways, the skit was called Great White North, and the film was Strange Brew.
I am not a now-at-all if that's what you're thinking, I just am a big fan of SCTV and my brother has taken classes at the Second City in Toronto, where they have pictures up of past performers.
